Show l lew starting class starting time could confuse many students Poppy Faldmo Contributing Writer IS Salt Lake Community College College College Col Col- lege trying to distort your reality or maybe trying to drive you crazy If you have been in attendance at for one quarter or more you may have shown up for a class 10 minutes after the hour as usual only to find you were late because classes now start starton starton starton on the hour Maybe you noticed on your class schedule that this change had occurred and asked yourself Is ls someone someone someone some some- one trying to confuse me The situation can be explained explained explained ex ex- ex- ex by Academic Vice President Ann a Erickson-a a review of enrollment patterns has shown students will take classes at both Redwood and South City campuses during the same quarter The original plan was to give students time timeto to travel from one campus to the other in between classes Now if students take am a.m. classes at Redwood they will get out at and have 20 minutes to travel to their 1010 classes at South City If this plan is reversed and st stu students students stu- stu dents go to South City first they will have an entire hour to travel between classes Although no co complaints plaints ha had be been n raised by commuting commuting commuting ing students the plan to change the starting time of classes was suggested in the spring of last year at an administrative administrative administrative ad ad- meeting Redwood Redwood Redwood Red Red- wood is the only campus that has had the class starting times changed No further time changes are planned for any other campuses in the near fu fu- fu- fu ture |
