| Show Sperry employees have been participating in Cooperative Cooperative Cooperative Co Co- operative Education at Utah Tech since its introduction At the present time there are eight employees participating six in the General Systems in Electronics and two in the Defense Systems Division in Design According to Karl Seaman Director of Cooperative Education Education Education Edu Edu- cation Technical Occupations Occupations Occupations Division at Utah Tech Cooperative Education is a combination of class instruction instruction instruction tion and the on-the-job ence It is a higl highly y successful learning situation that helps the student earn school credits credits credits cre cre- while earning money The arrangement is made possible possible possible pos pos- sible through the efforts of an employer supervisor employer su and instructor coordinator and a division CE coordinator Three types of student- student e employer are available at Utah Technical TIle The Parallel Plan allows the student to attend college time full-time and work part The Extended Plan enables enables enables en en- ables the student to attend college time part-time and work full The Alternate Plan permits permits permits per per- mits the student to attend college one quarter and to work time full-time the following quarter Under this plan one student may work one quarter quarter quarter ter and another student may take his her place the next quarter Hence the employer has the equivalent of a full- full time employee The following basic criteria criteria criteria cri cri- teria has been established for students in the CE program A. A The student must be employed in a job related to his her field of study B.
