Show june laws succumbs suddenly monday noon by blanding correspondent the blanding people were very shocked to learn monday afternoon of the sudden death of june laws he died about noon a few minutes after he had collapsed at the wheel of the pickup he was driving lie he had been at the home of his daughter mrs fern palmer a short time before and complained that he feel very well she urged him to go to bed but he said he would go back to his home when she insisted that he go see sec dr root before he went home he agreed after his interview with the doctor mr laws started back to the home of mrs palmer he must have collapsed on his way down the street as his pickup ran into the fence just west of bishop rogers old home merle jones going to the palmer palme r h home om e told them a pickup ha had d ju just s t run into the fence and had come down the street without a driver immediately mrs palmer was alarmed ran to the window windo lv recognized her mathers car and ran to him as fast as she could he dead when she goi got there but died before they could get him to the house siance mr laws suffered suf feied a blood clot in may he has had very poor health mr laws was born at johnson utah june 3 1889 the son of william hart and jennie ann johnson laws later the family moved to old mexico where they lived until the revolution mr laws married lucy johnson in mexico may 12 1909 their oldest son asa was born there after the exodus they moved to richfield where they stayed until after their second child william was born since that time they have lived in san juan county several years were spent at the ranch at carlisle mr laws has been a farmer and carpenter and at the present time had a carpenter business in blanding he has recently completed a corn comfortable fordable for table little home on the north side of town june and lou as they were known to their many friends were the parents of seven children two of whom prece proceeded eded them in death the oldest girl lurline barton died in 1942 leaving five children and the oldest boy asa died the next year leaving three children mrs laws after many years year s of bad health passed away jan 20 1951 since that time mr laws has lived alone most of the time time until he married miss helen larsen of murray utah june 20 1953 at the time of hi his death mrs laws was attending to business at al murray but arr ivied in blanding the evening of his death survivors besides his wife are following five children william harry parley laws and fern palmer blanding and wayne laws price he has 32 grand children and one grand child and a sister mrs wilma galbraith of blanding the funeral service was held at the blanding chapel I 1 wednesday afternoon at 2 p m under the direction of bishop willian ervin palmer |
