Show PALMER ROTARIANS GUEST IX IN SALT LAKE philip palmer selected by school authorities on the merits of his record left for salt lake saturday to be the guest cz ci the salt lake rotary club for several days the rotarians annually award such a trip to an outstanding 0 student from every high Z school in the state during which the boys are banquet ted shown the sights in and around salt lake and g given en a birds eye view of life in the city boys so honored during past years were norman foy and tommy lyman someone set fires at several points between max daltons dalfons Dal tons ranch in montezuma canyon and monticello saturday which destroyed va mile of fence two cattle gaulds and mile of telephone line the fire was carried along the fence line by thistles whistles es which had been lodged against the wires by the wind it is not known who is responsible pon sible for this deliberate destruction st A fire of undetermined origin burned several acres of stubble ground in wilford frosts farm east of town monday from the field it spread through the trees to H J corners old home burning some same of the buildings the buildings were of little value however and no serious loss resulted from the fire which burned itself out mrs josephine smith and mrs milton nielson went on a shopping trip to durango monday mr and mrs joe cooper were business visitors to salt lake city the first of the week |
