Show 1 letter of appreciation n y monticello utah dm dec 1 15 I 1 1948 1948 mr ralph batie I 1 safety engineer grand junction colo dear sir on dec 6 1948 the monticello volunteer fire department was called to the home of frank fullmer when tile the fire truck stopped it in front of the fullmer home mrs fullmer immediately told members of tile the crew that her husband was upstairs and had passed out f from born effects of the smoke mr fullmer was taken from the building as soon as the firemen could locate him when he was brought out of the building he had quit breathing altogether A call was sent to the mill in monticello for their resuscitator which was brought immediately in the meantime wyman redd gave the patient artificial respiration when the resuscitator arrived it was put to work immediately on mr fullmer the resuscitator operator joe barry was very efficient and was the only man we had that knew how to operate the machine As soon as possible mr fullmer was taken to the hospital where he was wag put in the care of a competent staff mr fullmer was unconscious for 36 hours dr Al mcaffee cAffee stated that had it not been for the artificial respiration given by wyman redd and the resuscitator loaned by the U S I 1 A E C I 1 so efficiently used by joe ba barry rr y mr fullmer likely would have died the monticello fire crew hereby gives a sincere vote of thanks to the RAYMOND mcalister fire chief |
