Show THERE IS NO PEACE when jesus was asked if he was the prince of peace that holy men had said would come he answered peace rei reins reigns t ns today it is the peace of death the nations are corrupt they sleep within the arms of death and they must be aroused before it is too late he also said god sent me here to stir unto its depths the waters of the sea of life peace follows strife I 1 come to slay this peace of death the prince of peace must first be prince of strife this leaven of truth which I 1 have brot to man will stir the demons up and nations cities families will be at war within themselves the above is taken from the aquarian gospel chapter in which the master is foretelling what is now taking place nearly 2000 years later he also tells of the strife to reign in every home and further states the self and greed and doubt will rage into a fever heat and then because of me the earth will be baptized in human blood but right is king and when the smoke is cleared away the nations will learn war no more the prince of peace will come to reign at the present time one have to look far to realize that the words of the master in those faraway days are absolutely true the peace of death is now swing and while the average person believes that by preparing for another war we will eventually have peace this is not so the editor of humanity magazine asks Is it true that the more you prepare for war the more ya prepare for peace Is it true that a gigantic war machine is the sure and certain road to peace has it ever been true in the history of any nation that preparedness for war brought peace jesus also said he who lives by the sword will die by the sword this should convince those who believe that the only way to establish peace on earth is for every nation to become fully armed that this is not the right way how much better it would be to follow the pattern set by william penn in his address to the indians as stated in another article in the recent issue of humanity magazine written by helen keller the great god said william penn in his address to the indians hath written his law in our hearts by which we are taught and commanded to love and help do good to one another it is not our custom to bear hostile weapons against our fellow creatures for which reason we come unarmed our object is not to do injury but to do good we are now met on the broad pathway to good faith and good will so that no advantage may be taken on either side but all is to be openness brotherhood and love while all a are re to be treated as of the same flesh and blood according to report the quakers who did not believe in violence came without so much as a sword or a rifle to establish a city of brotherly love and they succeeded while other settlements were attacked and burned and slaughtered or carried off into captivity the little pennsylvania colony enjoyed uninterrupted peace and prosperity they had no forts no soldiers and no arms the penn colony never lost a man woman or child by the indians jesus knew that the teaching he left would not be accepted because he too taught that love for god and for ones neighbor and service to humanity must be practiced he also knew that the evil in the world would multiply until eventually the earth would be baptized in human blood before the nations would learn to war no more that time is now upon us and world wars 1 and 2 must yet be followed by world war 3 before the prince of peace may come to reign and complete the unfinished work the trouble in palestine is the beginning and although a four week armed peace was agreed upon within a few days the fighting was resumed according to latest report this is but further proof that so long as men think in terms of war we cannot overcome war As the buddha stated hatred is never conquered by hatred it is conquered by love and love alone but before man can love his neighbor as himself he must be willing to overcome his hatred if f he hates his desire for material gain if greed is in evidence his intolerance if he is one to judge his neighbor in this world of unrest which man has created for himself because he has refused to count his blessings and has replaced the good with evil there must yet come untold suffering for the vast majority since the average person is unwilling to change the habits of a lifetime or to substitute divine law for that which man has created but the time will come when the same kind of peace and prosperity the quakers knew will replace the stagnant peace of today and for that time we must now live and work only then may we expect the prince of peace to reign in all fullness of the word |
