Show call for eight more men from san juan 0 the next group of men to leave for army service will start from monticello next week friday friary may 1st ast although all are or were residents of san juan county only two will be likely to leave from this point and only one is a monticello resident horace christopher lopez the fourth son of mr und and mrs lopez to enter the service is is the local man he registered while in kansas and was transferred rec re recently c antly in in order that he might leave from this point he and floyd medley of cedar point will be honored on saturday night when a program and dance will be staged under the direction of the committee appointed some time ago to arrange the farewell parties for departing draftees and enlisted men floyd medley volunteered to serve inthe in the army ahead of his turn as a draftee draffe and this will lessen the number to be called as braf drafted lea men this time keith jay harvey of blanding also volunteered for service in the army although he has only just reached the age of 18 he also will leave on may the other men to go are george lyman richard wm black and thell burrell carroll carrol of blanding wm H zelph now of hesperus colo david K phillips and joe fisher now of kayenta kayetta Ka yenta arizona the post prom of monticello high school is scheduled for april 25 in the auditorium inasmuch as it is the only weekend week end before may 1st ast the juniors and war committee are cooperating and making it a soldiers farewell party |
