| Show MEMO MB M 0 N 5 A proclamation 0 g editors note the following proclamation IN was rece received ived this week from the pacific coasto coast 0 manager A L schafer with a request that it be B printed in our paper alt although h ough the annual re red d B el cross roll call has been successfully launched H in our county we offer the proclamation because H it covers so many points and activities of the cheh g american red cross it may also serve as a reh re H M minder or to create interest if you are one who choh failed to respond when one of the workers called r on you H WHEREAS the american red cross is the H H cial civilian auxiliary of the army and navy and B g as such is responsible for protecting the morale moralee H and handling the personal and welfare problems problem sH M m N of men in the armed forces of the country through N HB a multitude of services and WHEREAS the american m N red cross has been H assigned increasingly heavy responsibilities in in the B PI civilian defense program and H lg teas the american red cross is a voluntary H pa membership organization and is supported support a only by fil arnds ads received from membership fees tob ma gether with funds from special disaster and emera B gency campaigns when unusually calamitous cir m EO E cum stances necessitate the same and HI WHEREAS the need for funds by the american B gaj red cross to carry on its programs pro 1 rams in this nimeh time HR of great national emergency is is greater than it ity has ever been and HI E WHEREAS through participating in the annual ani raual H roll call every patriotic citizen can discharge a M isa part of his responsibility toward making the ga defenses of our country secure H m el NOW THEREFORE 1 I HERBERT B MAW axi governor of the state of utah do hereby pro gj claim the period november alth to november Ne vember m ea 1941 as the annual roll call period of the da red cross with the hope that the adult j el tion of the state will rally in support of this H I 1 organization which was created to serve those ras in in need HI IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF I 1 have hereunto set my hand and caused to be aff affixed axed the great seal of the H state of utah B doneal done at the capitol salt lake city M E utah this ath day of november 1941 N E signed HERBERT B MAW 0 governor of utah gj |
