| Show associated civic clubs to elect when members mem and directors of the associated civic clubs of southern utah meet in monroe monro saturday at pm they will elect officers to lead the association during 1939 according to president james M sargent Sarge nV the monthly meeting is being sponsored by the monroe lions club and H roland Tie sevier county director is assisting with the although the new officers will be selected on november 19 they will not take over their auti duties until january 1 during th e past mont month bac each of the 15 counties has elected one new director who with the holdover directors will fill the board for 1939 both the new and retiring directors are expected to attend the election meeting officers to be elected include a president first vice president second vice president and four additional members of the e executive board these positions tiomi are aa now held respectively by mr sargent L A of mil ford henry H jones of sunny side frank G martines of richfield george M hunt of bicknell reid reia H gardner of cedar city russell hawkins of nephi and C W love jr of st george the outgoing president aut automatic 1 1 ally becomes a member of the ahe executive board in addition to the naming of new officers which is so important that all directors and bemb members ers should make a special eff ortto be present considerable time will be given to discussion of the 1939 program of advertising the nea next session of the legislature and an d other activities the purpose of this is to obtain ideas as to what the membership wishes so that plans may be worked out and presented at a future meeting for approval previous to the afternoon meeting the executive board will meet at the association offices in richfield at 1000 am the program at monroe also includes a banquet and dance in the evening eve nind |
