Show inequality THE CURSE OF RICHES in the early days oi of the L D S church such expressions as the following from elder heber C kimball were common but few if any have the temerity to express them today the curse of riches is in the inequality of its distribution the unequal possession of that which god has made for all his children is sin all nations are in sin because of this inequality the saints are still in sin so far as they approve of this unequal possession of wealth the word of the lord to this people is that one should not possess that which is above another i women make good As Poat postmasters masters parley farley reports washington may 25 in response to numerous inquiries which have been received at the post office department relative to the number of women postmasters now holding office postmaster ge genal I 1 james A parley farley last night nigh aal bounced that out of the tota presidential and fourth class postmasters that have been appointed and cammi commissioned from march 4 1933 to may 12 2 1938 1038 have been bonca of this number of women appointees poin tees which represents slightly more than twenty seven per cent of all postmasters appointed under postmaster general farley women have been appointed to presidential offices of the first second and third classes while the remaining have been appointed at the smaller fourth class post offices in making public these figures on the number of women vav K N masters that have been appod during the present administration mr farley pointed out that women postmasters are in charge of some of the largest post offices in the country and that it has been his observation that women appointees poin tees have made excellent post masters mr farley further stated that these women postmasters are performing a service to the post office department and the respective communities in which they hold office of which they may well be proud |
