Show young breeders bleeders Bre eders enter 1000 head for stock show north salt lake may 23 entries for the second annual intermountain junior fat stock show to be held at the north salt lake stock yards from june 7 to 9 ced saturday with nearly ahful hi cedars entering more tia than n 1000 head of stock accord according ing to E J maynard chairman of the show and former dean of the utah acate agricultural college school of agriculture young breeders bleeders bre eders will ship stock from idaho montana colorado nevada wyoming and all parts of utah for the june show participation will be limited to 4 H club members and future farmers mr maynard said he reported that almost all of the chapters of these fin the area will be represented premiums totaling more than will be chief attraction of the show to the young western feeders fc eders other benefits which V 7 hope to gain from the show are educational and recreational activities and a good market for their quality fat stock last year the stock sale which followed the show brought in almost and more than fat animals were marketed in it the total of animals which will be entered at the show and sale this year is almost a hundred per cent greater mr maynard pointed out A number oi 01 special entertainment features are planned for the two day event entrants themselves will furnish the program for a stock show amateur hour and all persons exhibit ng stock will be eligible for the educational tours which will be conducted in and near salt lake city recreational activities will include special features by the salt lake city chamber of commerce the kiwanis club of the city the utah manufacturers association and other groups the show this year will emphasize quality rather than quantity no limit will be placed on the number of animals one contestant can enter but no carlot class competition will be offered events such as the salt lake fat stock show encourage young livestock breeders bleeders bre eders and give stimulus to agriculture according to mr maynard |
