Show home of truth news dave debruine built a flume at carlyle this week for the redd livestock company the latest word from mrs ogden states that she expects to arrive at thompson saturday night daisy naden came to town with david thursday to have dental work done and to visit with monin items ladies in spite of the blustery weather the men have been repairing fences on the farm and enlarging the ditches that are supposed to carry the summer flood waters several Col colorado oraid 1 0 people stopped at the outer point sunday after moon to investigate our work and were glad to correct certain erroneous ideas they were entertaining about the home of truth due to incorrect newspaper reports new york clity mar 30 dear elmer reached thi this 1 s point today and ov kely stay until saturday in ism to meet with old time friends and a few new ones As we think back over the past ten days it seems more like a dream than reality so much has happened and so many associates I 1 of previous time have combined combine d to make this visit one of great interest and everlasting joy it so happened that three clubs in which we had membership held meetings which we were invited to attend this gave opportunity port unity to renew contacts one form which in turn happiness because of the genuine expressions of love extended as we met women with whom we had spent many hours in the past working and playing together there were other meetings with those who were interested in our school of truth in newark as we digressed into new pathway of thought in 1931 and many chance meetings with individuals who were prominent in business or social life also a delightful weekend week end visit with relatives in the suburbs of newark which we have just left in order to come to this place in order to carry through the final wee week k of our extended period of travel if we were allowed more time it would be filled with similar engagements gage ments for another ten days and it is to be regretted that invitations and requests for appointments point ments cannot be considered though it is likely the day of our departure dp gar ture will be set for the last vable date next week in ord order er tp se a few more old time friends in newark therefore we cannot name a return date at this writing but will send word early next week and t before another issue of the paper is published we will likely be in monticello or at least on our way home you may expect to hear again within within a few days and in the meanwhile please say to inquiring friends that we are looking for ward to the time of meeting them it again friends here in the east are not surprised that we like the west 41 so well because many of them k traveled through our coun ta odem we know it will mean more tiem as a result of this visit we also know that as time advances t some will make the journey again some on pleasure bentler haps but others to take up resi dence in less congested places than here in the east because of the conditions which prevail now of these things we shall have more to say later and in the interim we will keep in closer contact with our eastern friends thru correspondence and through our weekly journal because of this visit now with love to you all who are carrying on so well at home during my absence sincerely yours arie MARIE |
