Show uons to honor INTERNATIONAL CHIEFTAIN HERE The mid-winter banquet honoring honor-ing the international president of Lions, Monroe L. Nute, will be held Monday, Jan. 10, at the Hellenic Hel-lenic Memorial hall. A reception for Lions and wives will be held prior to the banquet at the New House Hotel at 6:30. Special numbers on the program pro-gram will be presented by Ogden and Provo Lions clubs. Four district governors will at- tend including Rendal M. Mabey, Norman Berndt Salt Lake; Gordon Gor-don Christensen, Cedar City; Otto Fry, Springville. Immediately following the reception, re-ception, at Hotel New House, the Lady Lions and wives of club members mem-bers will honor Mrs. Monroe L. Nute at a banquet. The address of welcome will be given by Mrs. Willian A. Marsh, president of the Dilworth Park Lady Lions. The program will feature a dramatic dra-matic presentation by Lola Green Merrill and musical numbers by the Cedar City Lions quartet. The table decorations will carry out the club colors, purple and gold, with gold daffodils, and purple flox with purple streamers as the center pice. Committee members include Mrs. Norman Berndt, Program; Mrs Charles R. Stevens, reservations; reserva-tions; Mrs. E. L. Morris, publicity, and Mrs. G. B. Kohlert, decorations decora-tions It is expected that 1000 Lions and Lady Lions will attend, representing repre-senting the state of Utah. |
