Ninth, E., is a construction specialist in 3d Battalion Bat-talion Headquarters Company. He entered the Army in July 1954. The two men arrived overseas last March from assignments at Fort Bragg, N.C. CpL Robert E. Barnhart, son of Mrs. Ed Marx, 133 E. Truman ave., recently was graduated from the Army's Transportation School at Fort Eustis, Va. Barnhart wa3 graduated from' South High in 1954. Army Pvt. Stephen Richards, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Richards, 910 S. 15th st., E., recently re-cently was assigned to the 6th Infantry Regiment in Berlin. Cpl. Jack D. Rowsell, son of Mrs. Mary M. Rowsell, 3401 S. W. Temple st., Salt Lake City, recently recent-ly completed the telephone installation instal-lation and repair course at the Army's Southeastern Signal School, Fort Gordon, Ga. Army PFC Carlon J. Cooke, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Cooke, 2729 Chadwick St., recently was named Soldier of the Month for the Nancy Ordnance Depot in France. Lawton, Okla. Pvt. Robert C. Williams, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Williams, 1186 Zenith ave., recently completed com-pleted eight weeks of advanced basic antiaircraft artillery training train-ing at the Army Training Center, Fort Bliss, Tex. A 1954 graduate of Granite High School and a former student at Utah State Agricultural College, Col-lege, he completed the first phase of his training at Fort Ord, Calif., before his arrival at Fort Bliss. Pvt. Larry W. Morrison, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill W. Morrison, 1641 S. Tenth, E, Salt Lake City, recently arrived in Alaska and is assigned to Fort Richardson. Marcroft, whose wife, Mary, lives at 1222 Griefield pi., St. Louis, is receiving two weeks of active duty training at Fort Riley, Kan.' A 1947 graduate of the University Univers-ity of Utah, Marcroft is employed as an instructor in dental medicine at Washington University. Son of Mrs. Marcroft, 1158 Emerson, Em-erson, he is a member of Delta Sigma Delta and Omicron Kappa Upsilon fraternities. PFC Jackie J. Jones, 22, son of Mrs. Jennie M. Jones, 9 N. Maine, Midvale, is a member of the 602d Field Artillery Battalion at Fort Sill, Okla. He attended Jordan High School in Sandy. His wife, Joan, lives in |
