Show Officers Nab Youths In Auto Park Assault Southeast officer Bob Whit-more Whit-more picked up two 18 year-old car stripping hoodlums during the week end who were identified identi-fied by Southeast Theater parking park-ing attendant Bill Ross as the ones who tried to rough him up. The two minors had taken a hub cap from a 1955 Buick when interrupted. They left the parking lot but later returned to start trouble with Ross. Both minors had been drinking. Ross postively identified one of the pair as the one who tried to start a fight with him and at one point held a switch blade knife to his throat by force. When picked up one youth had a concealed weapon, a steel packing hammer, on his person. At the police station the boys were very belligerent and defied de-fied the officers to strike them. Both youths have had previous pre-vious brushes with the law. One had three count3 against him. The other's record for 1950 included in-cluded an auto theft; in 1952 a curfew violation, possession of obscene pictures and truancy; in 1953 investigation of burglary, burg-lary, drunk and curfew violation; viola-tion; in 1954 a curfew violation and investigation of attempted robbery. |
