Show WESTMINSTER'S FIRE DAKCE STARTS COLLEGE Registration week at Westminster college was climaxed Saturday evening with the 'annual ravine picnic and fire ceremony, followed by a square dance on the tennis court. Arrangements on the fire ceremony cere-mony were handled by an alumni committee headed by Camille Blazard. A number of original verses extolling virtues of fire and man's use of heat were read. Each students present then wrote his wishes for the year on a scrap of paper, wrapped the paper around a twig and cast it into the fire. Earlier, a picnic supper was arranged ar-ranged by Larry Olson, Elmer Larape, Maurine Marley, Lois Blackham, Karent Sutherland and Myrna Bode. Gcnerai Chairman for the affair was Bill Gold, while the program was planned by Amy Sinefis, Bob Christensen and Urban Gebo. The square dance was engineered by Glen Thompson, Paul Maddock and Bruce Turner. |
