Show RAY RILSOH'S mi tops : MME CLASSIC Ray Nilson's Fine Arts Gallery is now presenting the annual fall show of paintings selected for the home, Mrs. Genevieve Lawrence, director, announced this week. The show features Fernande Mariano Ma-riano and 19 contemporary Ameri. can artists, some of whom will be special guests of Nilson Furniture Thursday, September 25, during the Utah Home Show. The current exhibit includes 14 canvasses by Fernande Mariano. These will be shown until October Octo-ber 8. A group of paintings of contemporary con-temporary American Artists will be hung in the gallery from September Sep-tember 25 through October 8. They include Dean Fausett, John Kock, Adam Styka, Fay White, Lynn Fausett, Mary Kimball, Roberta Jacobson, Oliver Parson, Florence Ware, Roy Walter Jones, Fremont F. Ellis, Elsa Saxod, Robert Wood, Paul Lauritz, Michael Cannon, Lorin Folland, Nell Klinge, Burt Proctor and Paul Salisbury. Mr. Lauritz, a native Norwegian, has been in the United States since 1910. He has received 75 medals and awards for his work, has exhibited ex-hibited throughout the country, including the Carnegie Art Institute. Insti-tute. His works are hung in many public institutions (including the Dixie Junior college and Woodward high school in Utah) as well aa many private collections. One of his large marines is owned by the king of Norway. The public is invited to attend the Ray Nilson Furniture company open house on September 25 to meet some of these celebrated artists. |
