Show Museum Opening Set Nov. 20 Grand opening of the Sons of Utah Pioneer Museum has been delayed to November 20 Horace, A. Sorensen chairman, reported this week. The original preview of the rich collection of Mormon Pioneer relics, souvenirs and cultural objects had been set for next Friday, but in order to make more nearly complete com-plete the three-acre exhibition, a delay of one week was decided upon, Chairman Sorensen said. The general public will be bidden bid-den to the grand opening on Friday, Fri-day, November 20,. he said, being permitted to view the vast collection collec-tion of elegant pioneer specimens raneine from earlv dnv prist mill stones, historic books, spindles, sofas, wagons, guns, plows and hundreds of other items that the committee has gone all-out to find. Located on a three acre tract at 2990 Connor street, the museum is spacious and boasts some of tHe finest pioneer items in the entire United States. Civic and church dignitaries will be on hand to greet the pioneers who will come from far and wide to participate in the ceremonies and to receive honors presented by the" host of SUP members who have done so much to preserve these museum treasures in memory mem-ory of the founders of the Mormon faith and its colorful history. |
