Show WOMEN MARINE UNIFORM TO BE SHOWN Sgt. Lillian Henry, women marine ma-rine recruiter of the recruiting center cen-ter on Sugar House plaza, announced an-nounced this week there will be a marine corps traveling exhibit Saturday, August 1, at 143 South Main street. Miss Henry said the new, colorful color-ful uniforms for women marines, including the new "dress blues" will be on. display. The uniforms for women of the corps are just part of the equipment equip-ment and armament that can be viewed. In addition there is also cold weather clothing and "thermos", "ther-mos", boots worn by marines in combat in Korea and a bullet-torn armored vest which saved the life of the marine wearing it in combat Armament on display includes a 75-mm reeoilless rifle and a 3.5 i inch rocket launcher and rocket, I as well as over size working models of the carbine and .30 caliber light machine gun. The trailer exhibit was constructed construct-ed by the marine corps to represent the corps at major fairs and outdoor out-door celebrations throughout the country. 1 Salt Lake City has been selected as one of the 48 cities in the west where the exhibit will be on display. |
