Show SUGAR HOUSE FLOAT IYINS CROWD PLAUDITS The artist beauty of the Sugar House float brought much applause and cheers at the Pioneer Day Parade. Pa-rade. Queen Marianne Parlos, and her attendants, Misses Kathryn Cannon and Jane Greenig, the two princesses, princes-ses, Marlene Birrell and Louise Burnett graced the huge float. Created of large gold flowers with a background of green metalic paper the float provided an ethereal setting for the Sugar House royal party. Lovely in an American beauty red formal, with gold tiera as her head dress, the queen gave a splash of color to the soft tones of the unusual un-usual float. Attendants were charming in deep pink formals, and little Cindy Christensen, flower girl, in pink and white pinafore, waved a tiny gloved hand at the throngs who lined the miles long course the parade took. Sugar House chamber of commerce com-merce band, Mount Olympus band and the American Fork band, which led the marching units in the entire en-tire parade, added a note of color to the long line. |
