Show Emma I). King's PEOPLE WE'D LIKE TO KfiOW If you are hankering for western entertainment, and dancing is your delight, you will especially enjoy watching Wilford W. Marwedel . call dances, and promenade all. Tall, angular and agile, he is full of the pep and humor it takes to enjoy life to the fullest extent . . . and that's what he does. Where ever there is fun, excitement and just one day of life . . . there's where he will be found. He is a teacher of physical education ed-ucation at the University of Utah, taught at the Y. W. C. A., and pioneered square dancing in the valley. He opened his own studio where he teaches folk dancing, round and square dances with the assistance of his wife, Edith. He was a student of Lloyd (Pappy) (Pap-py) Shaw, Colorado Springs, and every summer attends the Federation Feder-ation School College of Pacific at Stockton, Cal., for a refresher course. This year the emphasis was on Rumanian Kolos which Wilford and Edith found very fascinating their favorite dances being the folk dances. More and more this type of entertainment enter-tainment is becoming popular and the folk and mixer dances promote the family unit. The Marwedels have six children, chil-dren, Kenneth, Larry, Mary Lee, Paul and twins Karen and Connie who are 20 months old, and they all dance but the twins. The Marwedels Mar-wedels cut a rug around Holladay corners whether they be "square or round." He is a person we would like to know. |
