Show 5 SUGAR HOUSE MEH ENLIST Five young men from the Sugar House area inlisted in the Armed Forces, it was announced this week by Sergeant Lynch, Army and Air Force recruiter in Sugar House. Four chose the Air Force and one was enlisted in the Army under a special program to attend at-tend officers candidate school. The four men entering the Air Force were, Ronald L. Bruin, 2011 Westminister ave.; Ray Alan Jen- I . sen, 2274 Wilson ave.; David , Phillips, 1903 Yale ave., and Con- ( rad H. Hudson, 566 Emerson ave., They were sent to Parks AFB, California, where they will receive their indoctrination training. The Army man, enlisting direct-' direct-' ly for army officer's candidate school was Richard E. Gilette, 1940 Hubbard ave. He will take his basic training at Fort -Ord, Cal., previous to being assigned to the officers course. Sergeant Lynch announced that any young man with a high school education, who can meet the high mental and physical requirements, is eligible to enlist directly for army officers candidate school. Upon successful completion of this course they will be commis-! commis-! sioned second leutenants in the i Army Reserve. He also announced I that the Air Force still has a few vacancies and immediate enlistment enlist-ment can be accomplished.
