Show Three Bones LION ADVISES HIS SON A QUICK WAY A lion member was seeing his son off to college. "Son," he said, "remember the three bones and you'll get along alright." A stranger overheard the remark and asked what three bones he was referring to. "Well," said the Lion, "they're the wishbone, the jawbone and the backbone. It's the wishbone that keeps you going after things. It's the jawbone that helps you learn how to go after them, if you're not too proud to ask a question when there's something some-thing you don't know. Finally, it's the backbone that keeps you at it until you get there." Reprinted from the Sugar House Lions Club Bulletin. |
