Show ' Vi ! ' i ' " ' ' ? ' I f v Willard L. Eccles Elected Utah Bankers President Willard L. Eccles, vice president presi-dent - secretary - treasurer, First Security Corporation, and senior vice president First Security Bank of Utah, N. A., is the new president presi-dent of the Utah Bankers Association. Associ-ation. Mr. Eccles was elected Tuesday afternoon at the association's annual an-nual convention, in Jackson Lake Lodge here. The new president served as the association's vice president during the past year. Long active in the association, he previously has been a member of its executive committee, com-mittee, and also chairman of its public relations and education committee. A native of Logan, Utah, Mr. Eccles attended the Utah State Agricultural College and Oregon State College. He was graduated in business administration from the Babson Institute of Boston, and also from the Financial Public Relations School of Northwestern University. Starting his banking career in 1927, Mr. Eccles has served as a director of First Security Corporation Corpo-ration since 1942, He was elected secretary of the bank system in 1945. In 1952 he was named vice president in charge of business development, de-velopment, public relations and advertising for the First Security system which now includes 62 banking offices in Utah, Idaho and Wyoming. Mr. Eccles is a director of Anderson Lumber Co., Eccles Hotel Co., and Mountain States Implement Co. The First Security executive served as president of the Utah State Junior Chamber of Commerce Com-merce in 1937, and two terms as director of the United States Junior Jun-ior Chamber of Commerce. He was president of the Ogden Chamber of Commerce in 1945, and for ten years was treasurer and director of the Ogden Community Com-munity Chest. He has also served as campaign chairman and president presi-dent of Ogden's Community Chest. He is currently treasurer of Ogden's Og-den's Polio Fund. |
