Show NEW PRINCIPAL COMES TO ST. JOHNS HERE C. W. Schwich arrived last Wednesday Wed-nesday to take over his duties as principal of the St. Johns Lutheran school, it was announced this week by Reverend R. E. Schulz of the St. Johns Lutheran church, 1030 South Fifth East. The new principal will be formally for-mally installed during ceremonies held Sunday, August 17 at 7 p.m. in the church. A public reception will be held in the church basement to honor Mr. and Mrs. Schwich following the service. Mr. Schwich comes to his present pres-ent position from Brighton, Colo., where he was principal for a num. ber of years, and will teach the higher grades. Mrs. Schwich, also a graduate teacher, will handle third, fourth and fifth grade pupils. Miss Marcella Shafer, a recent, graduate of Seward Teachers college, col-lege, will be in charge of the primary pri-mary grades. Rev. Schulz reports that classes will commence the first week in September, and enrollment is expected ex-pected to reach 110 this year. The minister will conduct all religious instruction for the school. Mr. Schwich replaces as principal princi-pal M. C. Schlieske who resigned to take a position in Colorado Springs, Colo. |
