Show 'Twixt Us Teens By DEBBIE TUCKER Hang your phone on the nearest pole, cat, and take up this sheet for some close scanning-. There's news in it about you and your best friends. There are helpful tips that will help you click with the crowd. And that's the business we're in. Talking to teens about themselves and their problems. We hope you'll like it. We hope that you'll send in your ideas for columns (something you need help with, something you'd like to know more about, something you're griped with) and that you'll tell Debbie about your parties, your new twosomes, two-somes, your fun activities. Every week an idea, a thought, a bit of help, plenty of talk from Debbie. For boy teens and girl teens and once in a while the sub-teens this column is written. FASHION FAD: Cable knit knee high, homespun looking, heavy and textured. These country-living stockings taking to campus life very naturally when worn with popular tweeds, alpine car coats, or knickers for leisure time. Your favorite sportswear shop in the Sugar House area has just what you're looking for along this line. PARTY LINE: Rent a drive-it-yourself truck (very inexpensive) and gather up the gang for an hour of riding and singing 'neath the harvest moon. Fun to serve after . . . apples on sticks ready to dip in carmel and nuts. Or cut brick ice cream into small blocks and insert skewers (from your butcher). Keep them frozen hard until chow time and then dip these in carmel coat and nuts. Yummy. PERSONALLY YOURS: Many of the chignons you see your girl friends wearing these days are "store-bought." The Greek Goddess God-dess look is popular especially for date time and if a girl's hair isn't long enough she buys some. How about that? |
