In keeping with the Fair Lady trend, they will hail the return of 1912 fashion lines. These gowns will sweep the floor in regal style and take the fashion spotlight with their elegant fabrics. Look for brocades, bro-cades, chiffons, velvets, metallics, laces, crepes, and taffetas used in abundance. Waltz-Length Waltz - length is another new name and look in hem-line news. This line, not quite to the floor as Intermission Length ball gowns, hold's its own from eight to ten inches from the floor. Meanwhile the After-Five sheath dress keeps its distance just below the calf of the leg. However, all styles keep pace with the jewel-tone jewel-tone colors of the season: saffire blue, emerald green, ruby red. Afternoon Dresses Afternoon dress length has dropped drop-ped one inch this year according to Mrs. Davis, again an indication that the slim princess lines of the 1900 fashion era have received wide aceptance elsewhere and are soon to be seen here in abundanc. |
