Show Clean-Up Drive Successful Brooms, mops, soap and water and high pressure elbow grease yesterday put a brand new look on Sugar House. Organized working parties of men, women, yes, even teensters, took to the task of cleaning up Sugar House' for the great Sugar Days, which get under way in grand style today, run through Saturday and Monday. Everyone wore his working clothes as one and all turned but to put a fresh spring look on sidewalks, side-walks, windows, doors, streets and parking lots and in some cases, building, too, got a scrubbing. Willing women and girls strode back and forth, handing out tasteful taste-ful snacks to appease, the appetites of the businessmen, who, in many cases, were not accustomed to the vigorous workout. |
