Show PIONEER SONS SLATE BIG BENEFIT The Sugar House chapter of the Sons of Utah Pioneers and friends will gather at the LDS Rosecrest recreation hall, 3101 South 23rd East, Monday, April 27, at 7 p.m. for a Mormon Pioneer Village benefit. Horace A. Sorensen, program chairman, has outlined an evening of fun and frolic, featuring an ox barbecue to be served family style, a Pioneer costume ball, with dancr ing to Curtis Aekerlind and hi? orchestra. An outstanding program, with such celebrities as Robert Shepherd, Shep-herd, sensational 12-year-old boy singer; ReNae Allen, TV star in pantomime (including her famous automobile act); Virginia Tanner, folk dancer in costume, and Alice and Joe Hepworth, "that couple from the country." The musical program will also honor Mickey Hart, featuring his songs, "I Wouldn't Trade," "I Walked in God's Garlen," The Hush of Evening" and "They Found Him I in the Temple," sung by the great voice of Earl Morris, accompanied by Mickey Hart himself. A donation will be taken and all proceeds from the affair will go to the Mormon Pioneers Memorial Mem-orial Village and the reconstructions reconstruc-tions of the old Brigham Young home at the village site. Karl B. Hale said the organization organiza-tion expects more than 300 members mem-bers and guests to attend the benefit. |
