Show ILLNESS CUTS BLOOD DOMQBS HERE Due to an above-averag preve--lance of colds among would-be donors, the Red Cross blood drawing draw-ing in Sugar House last Monday netted only 103 pints of blood, more than 100 pints short of the goal. Had the turndown of donors been only the usual per cent, Sugar House would have racked up the record in all Salt Lake county, said Mrs. Charles Lay, committee chairman of the' local Business and Professional Women, which sponsored the drawing. Mrs. Lay was especially enthusiastic enthus-iastic about the response from Petty Motor company. Service manager Fritz Buhecker himself drove more than 40 employees to and fi'om the bloodmobile. Other large groups came from Westminster college and Buehner Cinder Block company. The bloodmobile will be in Sugar House again in about three months. |
