Show WHO CLOSED THE DOOR WHEN THE HORSE WAS OUT? Crime is a problem for organized law enforcement. Crime . prevention is everyone's business. In Salt Lake City at present crime and crime prevention is everyone's business. There is need for a little soul-searching for all parties concerned. In the ease of hoodlumism and juvenile delinquency some parents' son or daughter is involved either in the overt action or is the recipient of the' -outrage. There should be in most instances, in-stances, a penalty for a parent' who raises and gives to society a rotten apple. There are certainly delinquent parents. This is an age of fast action and quick changes parents must gear themselves to meet the conditions. Many times in law enforcement when a crime has been committed, com-mitted, the policing department is handicapped because the misdeed mis-deed is not reported promptly, or the injured party refuses to prosecute, or witnesses refuse to discharge their duties. There are instances when the law enforcers bungled the situation. The press has handled some reporting in poor taste for in an instance or two, the violators were able to find some comfort in the glamour provided. Crime is dastardly. Now is the time join hands to discharge everyone's duties. |
