Show Major Stout Wins Promotion On Korean Front WITH THE' 7th INF. DIV. IN KOREA Morris C. Stout, husband of Mrs. Marilyn E. Stout, 1400 Richards' St., Salt Lake City, Utah, has won a combat promotion to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel for excellent excel-lent performance of duty in action. Colonel Stout is serving with the 7th Infantry Division, one of three divisions currently engaged en-gaged in savage fighting on the eastern and central Korean fronts. A veteran of 11 years Army service, Stout joined the 7th in September 1950. Col. Stout telephoned his wife from Japan on Saturday to inform in-form her he was on his way home. Mrs. Stout is the former Marilyn Herrmann and they have one son, Jimmy, age 9 years. The Korean veteran is a graduate grad-uate of the University of Utah and was in during Europe World War 11 with the 97th Division. Col. Stout was on occupation duty in Japan for two years before the Korean outbreak. |
