Conference and DIP meetings were on their busy schedule, too. The visitors are Mr. and Mrs. Don C. Wood, well-known well-known Salt Lakers not too many years ago. Luncheon for twelve at the lovely home of Mrs. Robert B. Ward Friday saw members of the young married set having a gay day. . . Mrs. Boyd Erick-sen Erick-sen was up from Provo for the occasion She's the former Barbara Bar-bara Boud, you know, and looks real special with her new short, coif. Mrs. Joseph Tanner drove wedding bells aren't far off. The former Joy Vandehei, now Mrs. Robert J. Brietbartch, and her two sons, Robert and Mike, are here for a month's visit with Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Vandehei, 1356 Michigan Avenue Before returning to their Portland, Ore., home, they'll journey to Long Beach, Calif., and see a sister, Mrs. Clyde M. Edmonds, the former Betty Vandehei. DOING THE TOWN By Elaine A. Cannon What with everybody in a dither over Sugar House's new adventure in street lighting coming off this week, hardly seems like there'd be time enough for anything else as far as southeast-erncrs southeast-erncrs were concerned. But there is conference to consider, too. No small matter in the lives of Utahns in general and southeasterners in particular, i Mr. and Mrs. Conway Ashton on upper Redondo Avenue have been entertaining their popular California relatives this week. Bill and Helen Ashton Perkes drove up from their Whittier home with two other couples to attend the conference. Little Elaine, Carlisle and Larry were left at home in good hands while Mom and Dad made the trip. The Perkes also enjoyed family get togethers with their respetive mothers, Mrs. William . H. Perkes and Mrs. Rosabel H. Ashton. Mr and Mrs. Wallace McBride former Salt Lakers who ' are living in the deep south now, were entertained at a dinner party given by the A. J. Andersons Ander-sons Tuesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Parley Eccles were there, too, among others McBrides are here for conference, and of course are seeing a good deal of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Nibley. ( |
