Show Society DOING THE TOWN I By Elaine Cannon Nothing like the holidays for celebratin' fun, is there? And as usual, Southeasterners are right in the thick of socializing functions. Here for the gay times are popular LeGrande and Pat Cur- tis and their small fry. They j are dividing their time be tween Pat's parents, Mayor and Mrs. Earl J. Glade and "Bud's" folks, Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Curtis. It's so good to have those two back in town. Dr. and Mrs. Reed Larscn were hosts at a potluck dinner din-ner at their charming home on Foothill Drive Tncsday evening. After the yummy food everybody had a gaj-timc gaj-timc playing old-fashioned parlor games. In on the i fun, among others, were Paul and Ruth Howells, Mr. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Cannon, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Smoot. Family buffet . . . Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Ward entertained members of the Backman clan at an informal dinner Thursday Thurs-day evening. Scene of the holiday holi-day get together was the Ward's lovely new home on Kensington Kensing-ton Avenue and 22nd East. Mrs. Bud Curtis. President and Mrs. Lamont Gundersjn, Mr. and Mrs. Acel Richardsen and Mr. and Mrs. Fred E. Curtis Mrs. Curtis' jade green dress with its long sleeves and por-trai por-trai neckline was very chic. Mr. and Mrs. George L. Beisinger sat with George's parents. The Stayner Richards left early to attend a family wedding. Mr. and Mrs,. Ronald Kinsbury and Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo B. Sum-merhays Sum-merhays said hello to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas B. Neff. Also holi-dating at Bean Brummel were Con Harrison Harri-son and his attractive wife, Ruth. They were with Ruth's brother, Allan Lay-ton, Lay-ton, and his wife, the well-known well-known M o n a Snelgrove Layton. Dr. and Mrs. Wilkie Blood delighted de-lighted some youngsters at a special spe-cial Christmas party over the week end. Their were tiny suitcases suit-cases filled with hardtack and jingle-bell bracelets for favors Each youngster was served fan- 1 cy Christmas cookies and glasses of fruit punch. How they loved it. Dr. and Mrs. David Blood, their tiny daughter, Julie Mac, and dog Pudgy were in on the party-ing, too. Lucky small fry attending Were Nancy, Patsy and Lynn Hewlett and Jamie, Carla Lani, and Christine Cannon. r Beau Brummel food w:;s : big attraction When the wives and members of the Sons of Utah Pioneers. Sugar House Chapter, gathered there Tuesday Tues-day night. But everyone who attended was mighty happy they did because the program was excellent, too. Elder Mat thew Cowley of the Council of the Twelve, was guest speaker. Jewel Johnson and her mother, Mrs Edna Evans Johnson, furnished fur-nished musical numbers with Jewel taking honors for her lovely love-ly soprano voice. Saw Mr and Mrs. Joseph Bean helping ou' on the community sing end oi things . . . Mrs. H. A. Sorensen striking in an all green costume, cos-tume, the plumed hat matching her dress beautifully . . .
