Show EDITORIALS Now that the wounds of last year s January 1948 -sewer battle are pretty well healed, and now that everyone has had a long spell in which to think instead of emote, it is time to consider intelligent -ly plans for a sewer in southeast Salt Laake county Homes are still being built by the hundreds in this part of the county ,and ma ny roads are to be constructed. It seems reasonable that from the standpoint of economy, the sewer should go through as soon as possible to save thousands of dollars to the citizens. Our recent heavy winter , followed inexorably by large quant ities of ground water have given difficulty to homeowners in all parts of the proposed sewer district Perhi.ps most important in consideration of a sewer is the problem prob-lem of health and sanitation.With many county areas as heavily populated as those in the city, the danger of disease and epidemics has incerased to an alarming stage. It would be a poor commentary on our intelligeneeif we citizens waited and procrastinated until an actual epidemic overtook us. Such an event undoubtedly would bring quick action for a sewer, but it would probably be too late for those stricken with disease and death. The Bulletin has been informed that a new financing plan has been proposed which should meet with the approval of all south-easterners. south-easterners. We plan to publish full deveopinents .
