We saw a little boy refuse a piece of candy, saying that he thought he had enough already. Not over six-years-old, the boy was in the South East Furniture Furni-ture Co., waiting for his parents par-ents to finish a purchase. Horace Hor-ace Sorensen held out a basket of candy "chews" for the boy to take a fistful, but with a noble look, the boy said, "No, thank you; I think I've had enough." LOVING CUPS were awarded award-ed Tuesday at chamber meeting meet-ing to the winners of the store lighting and window decorating contest. Clarence "Bish" Rockwood accepted the trophy from Ray Free (chairman of the contest) for having the best lighted store front. The Rockwood Furniture Furni-ture Co. does have an attractively attrac-tively lighted store, and they deserve to win. Frankie Nielson Niel-son of Jarnel's won the window win-dow display contest. Jarnel's window had been praised by hundreds of Sugar House admirers. ad-mirers. A FANCY JOB of judging was done by Harv Northrup on the window displays. Rather than just looking for . the window which appealed most to him, Harv mapped out eight bases upon which to judge the windows. win-dows. He used a point system, enlisted the help of another |
