Show New $175,000 Branch Bank Construction Started in S. H. Work this week began on the new Sugar House Branch building build-ing of Walker Bank and Trust Company. Completion of the one-story structure is planned for next summer, said John M. Wallace, company president, in announcing an-nouncing architectural plans. Talboe and Harlin, Salt Lake City, are corltracftors, and Ware and MoClenahan, also of Salt Lake, are architects. The building will cost in excess of $175,000.00, Mr. Wallace said. Floor area will mesaure 119 by 50 feet. The new bank will be situated on the southwest corner cor-ner of Twenty-first South and McClelland Sts. The new building will have a cast stone front, with glass doors. Concrete and golden buff brick will face exterior walls on the sides and rear. , INTERIOR DECOR Lobby floors will be covered" with terazzo, and conference and consultation room floors will be carpeted. Red oak wain- ' coatings will adorn interior ' walls. Indirect lighting, . air conditioning, and acoustical ceilings will be installed throughout New sidewalks and curbing will be installed on both the Twenty-lfirst South and McClelland McClel-land . St. sides Spacious off-street off-street parking will be provided. "Complete and convenient banking service will be provided pro-vided by. our Sugar House branch," said Mr. Wallace. "We hope the new financial service will in some measure contribute contrib-ute to the growth and welfare of this important sector of metropolitan met-ropolitan Salt Lake City." |
