Show Loccil Civic Clubs Discuss Closer Unity Need for cooperative, concerted concert-ed action among the civic clubs of Sugar House, East Mill Creek and Holladay, was discussed at a meeting sponsored by the Sugar Su-gar House chapter, Sons of Utah Pioneers, Friday, Feb. 27, at the Beau Brummel restaurant. Representatives of each of the organizations in this area were invited to attend. Represented at the meeting were: the Sugar House Lions Club, Chamber of I Commerce, S. U. P., and the Salt Lake Kiwanis Club. General approval ap-proval of the plan was voiced, 1 nit several important questions were brought up regarding the I machinery of the association. Some present advocated the hiring of an executive secretary to handle affairs of the group. Others favored a less complex organization. A fact-finding committee, composed of Richard A. Lambert, Lam-bert, Ray D. Free, Robin S. Armstrong and Horace A. Sor-ensen, Sor-ensen, was appointed to immediately imme-diately assemble the information informa-tion for the consideration of civic and service clubs. |
