Show Dunford Brothers Open New Bakery The opening on Thursday, "May 31st, ol the Dunford Bread Com-pany's Com-pany's new Bakery and Retail store, at 875 E. 21st South marks th lntosst .addition to the con- stantly growing list of Sugai-house Sugai-house businesses. The company, which operates another bakery and store at 9th East and 7th South, is entering its fifteenth year of operation, and the addi-tion addi-tion of this new plant enables the bakers of Dunford Bakery Pro-ducts Pro-ducts to more fully meet the demand de-mand in the Sugarhouse area. I Founded in 1931 by Hazel Love Dunford, mother of the present owners of the business, the firm has a constant record of growth and development. The installation of the plant at Sugarhouse, according ac-cording to Stephen L. Dunford, manager, gives the Dunford Bread company the finest bakery of its type in Salt Lake City. Mr. Dunford, who, with his brothers, L. Clayton and Burns L., assumed active management of the business in 1937 after the death of their mother, has a tirm belief in the future of Sugarhouse as a business and trading center. Modernly decorated and well-equipped, well-equipped, the Dunford Bread Co. Is capable of producing four hundred hun-dred loaves of bread every forty minutes, plus regular stocks of cookies, cakes, sweet rolls ana pies. The new bakery, which opened on May 31st, is located at 21st South and 9th East, and will be open to serve the public from 9 A. M. until 10 P. M. daily except Sunday. |
