C. A. Crockwell, local superintendent super-intendent of the Suar House Station post office, and W. H. Lovesy, past president of the Salt Lake club, conducted conduct-ed the meeting. TEN YEARS AGO APRIL 11, 1941 With final plans complete for the celebration of the 87th anniversary of the founding of Sugar House, members of the committee making arrangements ar-rangements announced Thursday Thurs-day that Sugar House will be a gala spot during April 23, 24 and 25. Scott Linnell is general chairman for the entire en-tire affair. Harold Chester has headed a committee on finances. fi-nances. Mr. and Mrs. Wendell H. Rockwood, 2116 S. 22nd East St.. are the proud parents of a baby boy born Afcril 2. Mrs. Rockwood was the former for-mer Ivy Dean. FIVE YEARS AGO APRIL 12, 194G L. D. Sarvis, division man-' ager of the American, Automobile Auto-mobile Association, and an expert ex-pert on the tourist business, will be the speaker at the regular membership meeting of the Sugar House Chamber Cham-ber of Commerce, Tuesday, April 16, at 12:15 p.m., at Weasku Inn. |
