Show Sugar House Celebrates Queen Fete Open House Friday Evening May 3 1 'Miss Sugar House' Winner Promised Lovely Prize; All Entries Will Be Given Gifts, Honors With the "Miss Sugar House" contest deadline extended to Wednesday, May 24, it is expected that approximately 40 girls will vie for the crown, according to Richard W. James, chairman of the Sugar House queen committee. Following the monthly chamber meeting last Tuesday, Mr. James arranged for a beautiful beauti-ful gift for the winner of the contest. It will be a large, dresser-high, dresser-high, cedar chest worth more than $100. Two attendants to the queen will also be given lovely prizes, and all entrants will receive re-ceive a gift, Mr. James said. Many stores plan to have entertainment for visitors also, Mr. Sorensen added. NEW STREET DISCUSSED Also discussed at the meeting was the proposal that a new street be constructed as an extension ex-tension of Elm Avenue from McClelland Avenue to 13th East. Elm Avenue at present runs from 9th East to McClelland and is situated at 2160 South. Plans have been drawn up |
