Show Miss "S. H. 7 Finalist for "Mrs. Salt L.w A lovely Holladay housewife and former Miss Sugar House, Mrs. Don R. McGhie, 5089 S. 2050 East, has been proclaimed winner of the first eliminations in the Salt Lake City contest seeking a Ifinalist for the national na-tional title, Mrs. America. Mrs-McGhie, Mrs-McGhie, the former Miss Louise Woodward, won the Miss Sugar House title the first year the contest was held, in 1947. KSLTV The local phase of the Mrs. America contest, sponsored by the Beers-Bigelow Co. of Salt Lake City, may be seen in operation op-eration each Thursday evening on KSL-TV at 9 p.m. At this time weekly eliminations are held, consisting of the interviewing inter-viewing and parade of four candidates. New York Trip Mrs. McGhie, as an eliminations elimina-tions winner, will be a contestant contest-ant in the final competition, held the last week in August, to determine one lady as Mrs. Salt Lake City. This winner will trek to New York City to enter the Asbury Park finals in a try at the national Airs. America Amer-ica title.
