Show Cars Available For Amputees E. A. Littlefield, manager of the Salt Lake regional office of the Veterans' administration, reported re-ported that application forms enabling en-abling amputee or paralytic vet-' erans to apply for free automobiles automo-biles under the terms of a recently re-cently enacted federal statute, have arrived from Washington and have been distributed to contact con-tact offices throughout the state. Under the proviisons of the act, amputees who have lost a leg at or above the ankle, and also paralytics who have lost the use of a leg, will be provided with an automobile at government expense ex-pense not to exceed $1600. Mr. Littlefield stated that more than 7 Utah vets will qualify under un-der the act. Disabled veterans who believe themselves eligible, elig-ible, may secure application forms at the main contact office of-fice at 212 South West Temple, Salt Lake, or at any of the branch contact offices throughout through-out the state. Applications will then be processed proc-essed at the Salt Lake regional office, where eligibility will be determined from medical records. |
