Show Westminster Men Choose Leaders The men of Westminster college col-lege organized a new club for the furtherance of their social anO athletic interests, and elected tii; following officers Tuesday morning: morn-ing: chairman, Paul CotroManes. 1370 Bryan Ave.; secretary-treasurer. Walter Miller, Bountiful; student council representative. Howard Snethen, Magna. Dean J. S. Boughton, sponsor, said the first project of the club will be the redecoration of the men s lounge in Converse hall. New members of the YWCA were installed at a meeting of the Westminster college chapter. chap-ter. Tuesday at 3:45 p.m. Each new member was given a yellow chrysanthemum tied with purple ribbon, because the college colors col-ors are purple and gold, and a candle-lighting ceremony was a feature of the installation. Miss Mary Beth Nelson presided, and Mrs. Charles Jack gave a talk. Mrs. Helen Wilbur, a national staff secretary of the YWCA spoke in the college chapel at a service sponsored by the local branch, of which Mary Beth Nelson Nel-son is president. Miss Florence Pierce, of the Salt Lake YWCA also attended the meeting. |
