Sorensen of the Southeast Furniture company was elected president of the Sugar Su-gar House chamber of commerce at the annual election meeting of the board of directors held Wednesday night at The Bulletin Bul-letin office. He succeeds John C Barnes who has directed the affairs of the chamber for the past year. Other officers named tr serve with Mr. Sorensen are Horace Hor-ace B. Richards, first vice president; Samuel J. Nicholes, second vice president, and Hol-ger Hol-ger M. Larsen, re-elected secretary secre-tary - treasurer. Mr. Sorensen brings to his new position a wide background in business and civic civ-ic affairs. The new officers wili be installed at regular November Novem-ber membership luncheon of the chamber Nov. 21 at Weasku Inn. Earlier Wednesday, at the noon membership luncheon, the chamber cham-ber elected its directors for the year from which the new officers offi-cers were chosen. Mr. Richards Mr. Larsen and Paul L. Pehrson were relected to the board at this meeting, and Mr. Sorensen, Mr. Nicholes and T. L. Cannon were named new board members.
