Show I Plea Made to All-Day Parkers to Use New Lots, Leave Streets to Shoppers It's up to Sugar House businessmen and their employes em-ployes now to solve the street parking problem a problem that has become so serious of late that a considerable amount of business is being lost here. The answer is simple . . . Two big parking lots have been provided by the chamber of commerce and property owners all graded and gravel surfaced. Sugar House all-day all-day parkers should use these lots for their cars and leave the streets clear for shoppers. The lots are conveniently 'located at 2001 S. 11th E. and at the rear of the bank, 1053 E. 21st S. Policemen are directing shopping parkers into these lots when the streets are crowded, but it is a known fact that more than half the cars that tie up the street parking spaces for hours at a time belong to business people and employes in Sugar House ihe very people who should bo using these lots to leave the streets clear. The chamber has had cards printed inviting the shopping shop-ping public to avail themselves of these lots and we hope tlicy do, but let's make sure the shoppers get first crack at , the parking places on the streets. The lots are safe and accessible, and there's no time limit. |
