Show Death Ends Long Career of Service Tribute to a lifetime of serv ice to others was paid Monday at funeral services for Mrs Louise McClure' Reherd, 70, of 1474 Laird Ave., wife of Dr. Herbert Ware Reherd, president emeritus of Westminster college. Mrs. Reherd Re-herd was well known and beloved be-loved throughout this section having made her home in the southeast for many years during all of which time she was active in religious, educational and social so-cial affairs. She died Jast. Thurs day afternoon. The services Monday Mon-day were conducted by Dr. Floyd W. Barr at the First Presbyterian Pres-byterian church and hi"-ial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Active in many fields, Mrs. Reherd Re-herd was one-time president of the Presbyterian Church Syno-dical Syno-dical society and was1 active in many missionary groups. She also assisted in work at Westminster West-minster college, serving on th-: Women's board, teaching BibK: classes and aiding in numerous, activities. She was a member of Chapter A of the PEO sisterhood, Ladies' Literary society, Daughters of the American Revolution and Phi Kappa Phi, honorary scholastic scho-lastic society. Survivors include her husband of Salt Lake City; a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Reherd Steele, wife of Dr. Robert D. Steele, Westminster president; a son, Harold McClure Reherd, Anchorage, An-chorage, Alaska, and four grandchildren. |
