Show S. H. Lions to Attend Meet Plan to Charter Bus to St. George Approximately 20 couples, representing the Sugar House club, will attend the district convention con-vention of Utah Lions clubs to be held June 3-4-5, according to local group president, Wallace L. "Bub" Smith. The local contingent hopes to charter a bus for the trip, Mr. Smith stated. They intend to travel down over route 91 and to come back via the southern parks over Highway 89. Sugar House Lions have charge of the "Key Members Breakfast," Saturday mormngr' June 5, Mr. Smith announced. Rodney A. Ashby will be in charge. He explained that "Key Lions" were divided into three classifications: (1) every member mem-ber who brings two members into the organization is given a key; (2) those who bring in 12 members are presented with "Master" keys and (3) those who are responsible for the initiation of 25 new members are presented present-ed with "Senior Master" keys. Representing Lions International Interna-tional at the convention will be Dr. Eugene S. Briggs, first vice president. Dr. Briggs will be the speaker at the main meeting. Utah's 93 Lions clubs are divided di-vided into two districts 28-A and 28-B. District governor of 28-A is Melvin B. Wright, prominent prom-inent southeasterner and member mem-ber of the Holladay club. H. Al-vah Al-vah Fitzgerald is governor of district 28-B. |
