Show AROUND THE CORNER IN SUGAR HOUSE v By D. JAMES CANNON WELCOME BACK to Holger Larsen and wife, who recently completed a two-week vacation in California We met Holger over at the post office, and he looked like he had enjoyed a good change and a rest. In order to satisfy members of his family, fam-ily, Holger and his wife had to split their vacation between San Francisco and Los Angeles. IP ANYONE wonders where Paul Pehrson is about the first part of each week, lie can surmise that Chamber President Paul is out fishing somewher e. Paul more than ' makes up for it though by working a lot harder for his business and the community during the latter half of the week. (We're just kidding, Paul, we know you don't go fishing every week.) OLDTIMERS are slated to be honored next Tuesday at the regular monthly meeting of the Sugar House Chamber of Commerce. Com-merce. Anyone who has been in business or in a profession in Sugar House for 25 years or more may qualify as an "oldtimer," and is cordially invited. . This has been one of the highlights of the chamber year for about three years now, so we're really looking forward to it HAVE YOU HEARD about Bud Brain's case of hives during dur-ing Friendship Days? They were so bad that Bud had to stay home in bed during the entire week. He said that first you're afraid you might die, and then you're afraid that you won't. Glad' to see Bud up and around again. WE HEARD from some people peo-ple whose names have frequently frequent-ly appeared in The Bulletin that they were razzed by our good friend Dale Curtis about the amount of free publicity they weie getting in this paper. These folks thought we might make Dale feel better by putting his name in more often, so we thought we'd do that starting now. Dale does deserve more attention because he's a nice chap. We've known him for more than 12 years, and think the world of him. |
