They are getting quite a lot kidding out of it, but they are very well satisfied . . . The NEWELL PRICES have had their brot er, WILLIAM L. PRICE of Jarbridge, Nev., visiting with them. The Prices are originally from Idaho so they were lending their support to the Idaho team when It played U. of U. Bryan Ward is fortunate to have DICK BATEMAN and his new wife move into the ward. They will live In the new apartment that MR. and MRS. SHEFFIELD just finished on 17th South. Dick is the activity ac-tivity counselor on the Y.M.M.I.A. CLAUDINE REED is leaving this week end for New York, Boston, Washington, D.C., and all points of interest in LDS Church history with Vida Fox Clausen on one of her very fascinating tours. VERA HUGGINS is also a member of this group. They will be gone three weeks. FLORENCE BEERS, with the help of EMILY WILDE entertained at a dinner party in honor of MARY MOSS and JAY HARMAN who recited their marriage vows Thursday, Sept. 30. Those ' attending at the Beers' home were the guests of honor. MR. and MRS. H. GRANT MOSS, parents of the lovely bride-to-be, her sister PEGGY MOSS, MR and MRS. VERNON J. BEERS, MR and MRS. O. C. WILDE and son TODD and MARY ELLEN AMSON visiting visit-ing here from Saskatchewan, Canada. MR. and Mrs. JOSEPH and MRS. LAVINIA HUGGINS had a pleasant week when Mrs. Huggins son, JACK, his wife and five daughters came for a visit. Their oldest daughter Is going to attend the B. Y. U. this winter and they came down to see that everything was going to be just right for her. We hope all of you saw the picture of our Elder's softball team as they proudly accepted mighty good news. MRS. T. C. CHIDESTER, 2687 Highland Drive, former members of Emerson Em-erson Ward, entertained for their son CHARLES and his new bride JOANN PETERSON CHIDESTER at a delayed wedding wed-ding party. Forty guests were in attendance to enjoy an evening eve-ning of games and refresh -i ments. The new Mrs. Chidester is a daughter of MR. and MRS. DALLON PETERSON. Betty June Randall, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Starr F. Randall, Ran-dall, 842 Browning Ave., is thrillingly proud of her new-diamond new-diamond bestowed by Carl Thomas, son of Mr. and Mrs. William C. Thomas, 803 Browning. Brown-ing. The young couple is attending at-tending the University of Utah. the trophy tor Demg staice champions in softball. The team captained by NEIL PUR-DIE PUR-DIE has some fine fellows on it. They have a better than 50 per cent attendance record at priesthood meeting. Practically every member of the team holds an executive position in the ward and the sportsmanship of of the group is very high. The champions are BERT BUSATH, MARVIN PURDIE, GRANT JOHNSON, PHILO HENRICK-SON, HENRICK-SON, NORMAN NIELSON, EDDIE EVA, MELVIN BOEK-VEG, BOEK-VEG, EDDIE BOEGWEG, THOMAS PURDIE, STERLING PROVOST. LELAND BOEK-WEG BOEK-WEG an NEIL PURDIE. WAYNE and LUCILLE RICHARDS presented t h e world with a cute addition, a baby girl, Tuesday evening. Wayne is a counselor of Marlborough Marl-borough Ward. CHICK WADE is in the L.D.S. Hospital and having a very rugged time of it, but he will soon be up and among us again. That is |
